Is HP making first webOS Full Touch smartphone?

Not long after proudly releasing the webOS 2.0 SDK to a select group of developers HP has pulled it back. It seems there still was some proof of a virtual keyboard inside. Is HP working on a Full Touch smartphone with webOS 2.0?

It seems so. But first lets go back in time. Back in april 2010 HP acquired Palm that was facing some severe competition. With this the computer and printer giant got their hands on the webOS operating system. According to many one of the only true competitor of Apple's iPhone.

Till now there has been little news about successors of the Palm Pre and Pixi. About the webOS operating system there has been more news. Soon we can expect version 2.0 running on some new phones and a brand new SDK has been handed over to developers. Hopefully we see some new webOS phones similar to the render above.
