First Pixel 11a renders: Google barely changes exterior, interior potentially upgraded
The first CAD renders of the Pixel 11a have leaked, and those familiar with the Pixel 10a will notice few differences: once again, there are two cameras that sit nearly flush with the back. It remains unclear whether there will be more internal changes: the currently circulating specifications come from only one source.
The renders were published on Android Headlines and come from @onleaks, who frequently publishes such CAD renders.
Design: hardly any difference from the Pixel 10a
This means the difference from the regular Pixels remains: those have at least three cameras. The cameras are almost certainly a main camera and an ultra-wide-angle lens. Anyone wanting to zoom with optical quality should look at the Pixel 11, 11 Pro or 11 Pro XL. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold also features a telephoto camera, but it is so far removed from the entry-level Pixel 11a that we do not consider it worth mentioning.
@onleaks gives the upcoming Google Pixel 11a a purple colour, but whether this exact shade will be available in stores is by no means certain. However, there has been talk of a purple version for some time, including in July via Mystic Leaks, along with a black, silver and green version.
Specifications: what might change inside?
That same Mystic Leaks mentioned these specifications at the time:
- Tensor G6 chip
- 6.3-inch FHD display with a maximum brightness of 3350 nits
- 8GB of RAM
- Battery of 4870 to 5100 mAh
- Dimensions of approximately 153.5 x 72.4 x 9 mm (according to the CAD renders)
The choice of chip is particularly notable in the list above. On the Pixel 10a, Google still used an older type of Tensor chip, the G4 from 2024. There are also rumours about a new selfie camera, but apart from the codename (dokkaebi), nothing is known about it yet.
When is the Pixel 11a coming and what will it cost?
We still have some time to learn more, as the Pixel 11a may not be announced until February 2027, exactly one year after its predecessor, the Pixel 10a. We are less confident about the price. Since the Pixel 8a, the A-series has consistently started at €549, but the starting price of the Pixel 11 increased by €100. Google points to the RAM: according to the company, it is more than four times as expensive as a year ago. Because the 11a is also expected to have 8GB on board, a higher starting price is likely.
