The above list includes phones that are expected. Some of these have already been announced but are yet to hit shops, some have not yet been announced. Some of these seem certain, especially phones that get a successor every year, some are still deep in the rumour circuit. We have added the mobile phones that have not yet been announced without specifications, you cannot yet compare them with other phones. As soon as we have details we will add them but they will only become definitive when they are officially unveiled by the manufacturer.

Pre-order

Phones that are announced but not yet available can sometimes be ordered. This is called pre-order, also known as pre-sale. Some manufacturers try to boost pre-orders with special promotions. A free headset, for example. The downside is that you have to wait some time before you get your phone. If you need a new mobile phone right away, for instance because your current one broke down, a pre-order is not recommended. One reason to pre-order is to make sure you are the first to get a new phone without having to queue for it.
