The smartest cameras around right now (and why that matters)

Let’s be honest: you buy a Pixel for the camera and the software. With the 10 series, Google proves once again that you don’t need a massive lens to take professional-quality photos; you just need smart software. All models run on the new Tensor G5 chip. Is this the fastest chip on the market? No, that honour often goes to the Snapdragons. But is it the smartest? Absolutely.

The combination of hardware and ‘Google AI Pro’ (included free with these devices) delivers features such as Pixelsnap and an enhanced Magic Editor. You take the photo; the Pixel makes it perfect.

Which Pixel 10 model should I choose?

The 2026 line-up is more extensive than ever. Not sure which one to choose? Here’s a quick breakdown to help you decide:

          1. Google Pixel 10: The smart entry-level model

For those who want top quality without paying top dollar. You get the same fast Tensor G5 processor as its pricier siblings, an excellent 5x zoom camera and a handy size. Available in fresh colours such as Lemongrass and Indigo.

          • Choose this if: You’re looking for the best value for money.

          2. Google Pixel 10 Pro & XL: For the photographer

This is where it gets interesting. The Pro (€799) and Pro XL (€936) are identical in terms of specifications, apart from their size. They feature a superior zoom lens (up to 100x digital zoom), an ultra-high-resolution selfie camera and more RAM. The XL, unsurprisingly, has the largest battery and the largest screen.

          • Choose the Pro if: You want high-end specs in a pocket-friendly size.
          • Choose the XL if: You stream and game a lot and need maximum battery life.

          3. Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold: The multitasker

The most expensive in the range, but also the most unique. This is a phone and tablet in one. Ideal for multitasking and media consumption. Please note: the cameras are slightly less powerful than the ‘standard’ Pro, but the form factor more than makes up for it.

Still not sure? Android as Google intended

A major advantage of the Pixel series is the software guarantee. You’ll be the first to receive the latest Android updates and security patches. No bloatware, no duplicate apps, just a clean interface that adapts to your needs. What’s more, the Pro XL models now support the new Qi2 standard with magnets, ensuring your accessories always snap into place perfectly.
