Motorola Moto G30 product description

The Motorola Moto G30 is an affordable Android smartphone with a quadruple 64MP camera, smooth screen and a water resistant body. If you want more information about the G30 despite this brief summary then feel free to read on.

Remarkable fast screen

For such a cheap phone, we're pleasantly surprised to find that the Moto G30 boasts a 6.5-inch screen with high 90Hz refresh rate. This kind of makes for smooth animations and there's another added benefit; it makes it feel faster. The resolution unfortunately doesn't go beyond HD+ but that's usually sharp enough for images. At the top of the screen is a notch for the 13MP selfie camera with its own portrait mode and smile timer.

Are four cameras a little too much?

The big star of the Moto G30, however, is the Quad Camera on the back. The 64MP main camera shoots razor sharp pictures with by merging 4 pixels into 1 extra large 'super pixel'. The f/1.7 lens is extra bright, so it still takes clear photos at nite. There is also an 8MP ultra-wide-angle, 2MP depth camera and another 2MP macro camera. For the latter, 2MP is generally not high enough to take sharp close-ups. Still, there are enough cameras left that are useable. The Moto G30 does need a moment to process photos. This is because it is equipped with a Snapdragon 662 processor. This is a Qualcomm model, but not the most powerful one.

The Moto G30 is equipped with a large 5000 mAh battery that can also be charged quickly with 15W. This gives you a battery life of 2 days. Wireless charging is not available. The storage memory is 128GB, which is on the large side in this price segment. It can also be expanded by inserting a microSD memory card (up to 512GB). Lenovo introduces the new Motorola Moto G30. With a quad camera system and lots of storage memory, it's hard to ignore it. Or would that be because of the large 6.5 inch screen?
