The Oppo Find X5 Pro is a flagship device with a Hasselblad camera, a unique and quirky design, and the best display currently available. Unfortunately, you also have to pay quite a bit for it because it is not cheap. Whether that makes it worth its asking price, we will explore here.

Timeless design

Before we get started, we want to pay a little attention to its appearance. The Find X5 Pro 5G is built with plenty of organic curves and made of glossy materials like ceramic. It's almost a shame to put it in a case altho we recommend it because of its price. Oppo polishes each one for almost 4.5 hours to get this premium finish. The whole thing is IP68 waterproof and, all in all looks timeless. The only pity is that the colour range is a bit conservative. Black and white, so no bold colours.

SLR-like camera performance

The camera on the back of the Find X5 Pro was developed with the help of Sweden's Hasselblad. They have made their mark in photography by now. Hasselblad has taken care of the colour calibration, which makes them look more natural. The interface of the camera app is also inspired by Hasselblad cameras for user-friendly operation and there are various Hasselblad filters such as Radiance and Serenity. The 50MP main camera features a wide f/1.7 lens for extra high light coverage. For image stabilisation, not only is the lens moved in 5 directions but also the lens can move in 3 directions. This provides sharper images during movement that you are previously only used to from expensive SLR cameras. You'll also find a 50MP 110.3° ultra-wide-angle lens and a 13MP telephoto lens with 5x hybrid optical zoom. This provides a useful combination for numerous situations.

Fast without breaking a sweat

Oppo provides the Find X5 Pro with a large 6.7-inch screen with a dynamic refresh rate of between 10 and 120Hz. This delivers smooth images without being a drain on the battery. It is a 10-bit panel which allows up to 1 billion different colours to be displayed. The colour fidelity is therefore good. To be able to look at the screen for a long time, there is room inside for a 5000 mAh battery. This is wired with 80W to charge and wirelessly to 50W. This allows the battery to be half-filled again in 10 minutes. Speed also comes from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor which, thanks to a cooling system with a vapour charm, keeps the head extra cool for a long time. This makes the X5 Pro perfect for gaming or running heavy apps.
