Oppo Glow design

We can't make the designers of the Oppo Reno6 not talk about its looks. Time has clearly gone into the design. Oppo has applied its Glow style consisting of a flat-edge design with plenty of grip as a result. The back of the blue Arctic Blue version sparkles at you while the black Stellar Black version is more subdued with a sandblasted finish. The front is occupied by a 6.4-inch colourful AMOLED screen with a smooth 90Hz display. The selfie camera is incorporated into a small punch-hole on the top left. This is a high resolution 32MP one.

Powerful video features

The rear camera system consists of a 64MP main camera with bright f/1.7 lens, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a wide 120° viewing angle and a 2MP macro camera for extreme close-ups. There is a separate colour temperature sensor so that photos have realistic colours. The video camera shoots in up to 4K and features a portrait mode. This is something we see more often but only in photos. You blur the background so the focus is more on the person in the foreground. There is also a Video HDR function, nite mode and beautify function. Again, we normally do not see this in the video but only in photos.

These video features are made possible in part by a powerful processor. Inside, a MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor effortlessly resists all this work. Taiwan's MediaTek has been making a lot of headway lately and its chipsets are no match for those of Qualcomm. The Reno6 5G can therefore be called a powerful phone. And one that can last a long time thanks to a large 4300 mAh battery. What makes it special is that you can charge it faster than average; with up to 65 watts. A full charge takes less than half an hour, thanks to SuperVOOC 2.0, and with 5 minutes on the charger you can fill up another quarter. These are figures you normally only see on expensive flagships.
