The POCO X4 Pro is a low-cost 5G phone with a high-resolution 108MP camera, a smooth 120Hz screen, and with lightning-fast 67W charging. What this means in practise, what you can get out of it and whether you should pay top dollar for it you can read here.
To start with that last question; no you won't be paying top dollar for this POCO X4 Pro. In fact; it is one of the most economical 108MP phone at the moment. The Motorola Moto G60 is indeed cheaper, and therefore immediately its biggest competitor, but it cannot be charged as fast as this POCO. However, the design can also be considered a plus, as the X4 Pro 5G is not ugly. But tastes can differ.
One of the biggest pluses of the X4 Pro is of course its display. With a refresh rate of 120Hz, animations and transitions look particularly smooth. POCO has applied a screen panel from Samsung, namely an AMOLED panel with a maximum peak brightness of 1200 nits. Not only does this make colours appear very bright and intense, but the screen is also very easy to read outdoors. Finally, the FHD + resolution ensures sharp images and thanks to the DCI-P3 support, the colour fidelity is high. The only disadvantage is that the size of no less than 6.67 inches may be experienced as too large for some people.
Poco applies a high 108MP camera but don't let the number of pixels throw you off. Photo results are decent but not extremely special. Even the special design of the camera module does not change that. It is unmistakeably present by its size and how much it sticks out. Besides the main camera, you will also find an 8MP ultra wide-angle and 2MP macro camera. The latter is redundant in our opinion due to its low resolution. On the front of the X4 Pro 5G we find a 16MP selfie camera with an otherwise unimpressive f/2.4 lens. The software can handle it well with more than fine selfies as a result.
Inside we find a Snapdragon 695 processor from Qualcomm. Not the most powerful and we notice that from time to time. A hiccup here and there is no stranger to it. This choice was necessary to keep the price low. In exchange, you get stereo speakers and a large 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging. More than enough to make up for that.
