Want to buy a genuinely affordable 5G smartphone? Then expect to be disappointed. After all, you are asking for the impossible. But when you ask for a Galaxy A14 in a phone shop, you'll get one nevertheless. And not only that, but you'll also get a 6.6-inch large and crisp screen, a 50MP triple camera, and a large battery for 2-day use. No wonder many reviews tout the Galaxy A14 5G for its excellent value for money.

This is what you're missing

We don't often see phones with a fingerprint scanners in the budget category the A14 5G is in. Yet the A14 does have one. We also don't often see a display with sharp FHD+ resolution and smooth 90Hz playback, yet the A14 also has those. These are all pluses where Samsung has an edge over the competition. But, of course, some things are missing. For example, the casing isn't waterproof, the selfie camera does exceed 13 megapixels, and the music only sounds mono. But you're not missing much if you don't mind those things.

Three camera's

Also neat is the 50MP rear camera. With this, it has enough sharpness and detail to shoot fine pictures. There are two more cameras on the back of the A14 5G. These are a 2MP depth camera and a 2MP macro camera. Not very exciting but helpful for taking pictures with blurred backgrounds or extreme close-ups. You can shoot video up to 1080p and even create slow-motion videos at 120fps in HD quality. All that content is stored on the 64 or 128GB storage memory. If that's not enough, you can expand that up to 1TB by inserting a memory card.
