Large, smooth and bright screen

As mentioned, we usually only see high-end specifications in Galaxy S models. These are also immediately a lot more expensive. Nevertheless, this Galaxy M53 5G has some high-end specifications. Specs that we currently do not even see in many mid-range phones. Starting with a Super AMOLED Plus screen with a smooth 120Hz display. And that screen is also 6.7 inches in size. That one doesn't let itself go unnoticed. This large size is reminiscent of the Galaxy Note series, altho you cannot use a pen with this M53.

108MP camera: sounds nicer than it is

If we turn the M53 5G around, our suspicion is confirmed that this is a somewhat strange device. We do not see the typical Samsung camera module but a kind of square. This contains four cameras, of which the 108MP is the most striking. So many megapixels for so little money. What's going on there? Well, mostly marketing. Because this sensor doesn't perform that much better than other camera phones. So do not be fooled by the number of megapixels. Altho it is not bad. You will also find an 8MP ultra wide-angle, a 2MP depth camera, and a 2MP macro camera. Forget those last two, they are of little use because of the low resolution. The ultra-wide angle is helpful because you can shoot extra wide shots, such as landscapes. What is missing is a separate zoom lens, altho you can also zoom in on the large 108MP sensor itself to get sharper close-ups.

The battery is on the neat side with 5000 mAh, altho due to the screen size, it can be empty at the end of the day. A quick refill is possible with a 25W charger that Samsung does not supply. Wireless charging is not an option. As its name suggests, there is 5G support for lightning-fast internet on the go. Take a look at its predecessor, the Galaxy M52 5G. It is similar in many ways but is slightly more powerful thanks to its Qualcomm processor.
