Start exploringThe Xiaomi Mi 9T is the head of Xiaomi's Mi family. It's an impressive looking smartphone without too many compromises. Now we can say the same about the 9T Pro so let's take a closer look here.
If we had to sum up the Mi 9T, it's a high-end smartphone for a mid-range price. It looks impressive because of its borderless screen with no notches. As a result, 91.9% of the front panel is made up of a screen that is unprecedentedly high. To make room for the selfie camera somewhere, a pop-up selfie camera has been chosen. This is a 20 megapixel variant that is reasonably durable. According to Xiaomi, it survives 300,000 movements and disappears automatically as soon as it is pressed or when the camera falls. The camera shoots selfies in panorama and has a beautify mode.

On the back we find a 48 megapixel sensor which is sufficient for a lot of detail and sharpness. There is an 8 megapixel camera to zoom in up to 10x hybrid. So you get things 10x closer without moving. Finally, there is a 13 megapixel wide-angle camera. It's ideal for outdoors to capture wide landscapes. It has a 124.8° angle of view, which is a lot. A disadvantage of wide-angle lenses is that people's faces at the edge appear somewhat distorted. Xiaomi solves this with the necessary AI, or artificial intelligence. This way everything comes across as very natural.
Xiaomi has not only given the Mi 9T a very modern look, it also has modern functions. A fingerprint scanner in the screen, for example. Xiaomi promises fast response times but our experience shows that it is slower than physical scanners. Further modern is the USB-C connexion which has no top or bottom and there is an ample 6 GB of RAM memory. Xiaomi equips the device with MIUI 10 which is Android based but looks just a little bit nicer and has slightly more functions. A big difference with the 9T Pro is the choice of processor. This 9T contains a Snapdragon 730 from Qualcomm. This is a mid-range chipset that is powerful enough for every-day use and light games. If you really want the best of the best look at the Mi 9T Pro.
