Secrets of Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 revealed just days before launch
First flip phone with more than 5000mAh of battery
On Thursday, June 26, 2025, Xiaomi announced the Mix Flip 2. It is a foldable phone that will succeed the Mix Flip. Information about the device's appearance, main specifications, and power has been leaked.
Not only Samsung makes foldables, also Xiaomi entered this product category. With models from the Mix Fold and Flip series, Xiaomi has been releasing new foldables for several years. Soon we expect the Mix Flip 2; a foldable phone that should compete with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Motorola razr 60 ultra.
All three of the aforementioned flip phones feature a full-screen cover display, but Xiaomi has a few tricks up its sleeve. For example, there is reportedly a large 5,165 mAh battery inside. We have never seen a battery this large in this form factor before. Despite this, the device is only 7.57 millimetres thick.
Mix Flip 2 specs
The 4-inch cover screen has a maximum peak brightness of 3,200 nits. Xiaomi claims that you can run full-fledged Android apps on it. The inside screen measures 6.86 inches, and when unfolded, it is completely flat. Inside, there is a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, which is the fastest and most powerful that Qualcomm currently has in its line-up. It remains to be seen what cooling method Xiaomi uses for this beast.
Geekbench test results show that the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 will have 12 GB of RAM. Coupled with the powerful Qualcomm chip, it delivers impressive performance. The extra-large silicon-carbon battery can be charged with 67W wired charging and still retains 50W.
The Mix Flip 2 has an interesting colour scheme with a chequerboard pattern on the back. It remains to be seen what other colours will come alongside gold. We may find out as early as Thursday, when Xiaomi announces the device. We will also find out the price and release date.
