During its keynote this week, Apple announced its first-ever foldable iPhone. It is also the most expensive iPhone ever. However, the device has something in common with the most affordable iPhone in the line-up, the iPhone 17e. Both feature a 48MP Fusion main camera.
In addition to the iPhone Duo and the iPhone 18 Pro, Apple announced new AirPods: the AirPods 5. The most notable change is not in the sound quality, but in the price. Active noise cancelation is now standard, whereas it cost an additional €50 with the AirPods 4. The AirPods 5 cost €149 and will be available in stores starting September 18.
During yesterday's keynote, all the attention was on the new iPhone Duo. However, Apple also introduced two other iPhones: the iPhone 18 Pro and the iPhone 18 Pro Max. These two familiar yet more powerful phones stood out mainly due to the absence of the standard iPhone 18. The iPhone 18 Pro starts at €1,479 — €150 more than its predecessor — and will be available for order on September 12.
Apple unveiled the iPhone Duo for the first time at exactly 7:55 p.m., and the discussion ended by 8:16 p.m. Those 21 minutes were long, as every aspect of Apple’s first foldable was discussed in detail. But apparently, that wasn’t enough. Here are five things Apple didn’t tell you about the iPhone Duo.
As expected, Apple’s new CEO, John Ternus, unveiled the first foldable iPhone. As a last-minute rumour had predicted, we are calling it the iPhone Duo. The price was also correctly predicted at $1,999, with availability in late October. The price in euros has also been announced: €2,339.
