Huawei is planning a comeback in the smartphone market outside of China. During an international press conference in Shenzhen on October 3, CEO Richard Yu said that the company wants to return to the global market with its own operating system, HarmonyOS. This is just a plan, not a final decision. Yu did not mention a date, countries, or devices. For the Netherlands, this would mean the return of a brand that virtually disappeared from stores following the U.S. trade ban.
