The realme C21Y, sometimes written as C21-Y, is a reasonably basic phone with entry-level specifications and, therefore, cheap to buy. Nevertheless, it has a large battery with long battery life, and you can unlock it with your fingerprint. In addition, you can read what it cannot do and whether it is a good phone.

Reverse Charging: likes to hand out

Realme has emerged in recent years as a manufacturer of competitively priced phones that still have excellent features. It does not use off-the-shelf parts for this but also innovates itself. For example, realme is known for its extremely fast charging batteries. Unfortunately, that does not apply to the battery of this C21Y. It is not quick to charge, but it can do something else. With 5000mAh, it is big enough to give energy to others. Reverse charging is the name of the game, and you will undoubtedly make friends with it. So don't forget to put your C21Y back on the charger in the evening.

AI Triple Camera

The realme C21-Y features a 6.5-inch screen with HD+ resolution up front and a teardrop-shaped notch at the top for a 5MP AI selfie camera. This camera has features such as a Beauty Mode, HDR, and various filters. On the back, realme applies a 13MP primary camera that is joined by two more cameras; a 2MP black and white camera and a 2MP macro lens. You shoot video up to Full HD (1080p) but also a slow-motion video mode. Thanks to this trio of cameras, you shoot every-day photos and videos from afar with the primary camera and up close with the macro camera.

Decent entry-level model

You can fit up to 2 SIM cards in the C21Y. There is still room for a memory card. Sometimes you have to share the latter with the 2nd slot, but you do not have to make that choice. Please note that the memory card slot only accepts cards up to 256GB. It doesn't recognise bigger cards. Incidentally, with the standard 64GB of storage, you will soon need a memory card. The otherwise reasonably simple processor has access to an otherwise decent 4GB of RAM. We often see less in this price category—all in all, a proper entry-level model from Realme.
