The Realme GT Neo 2 is a value-packed device with premium components for a low price. In addition, realme has equipped the device with a dedicated gaming mode, making it suitable for gaming. But we would sell it short if we called it a gaming phone. So, without further ado, let's take a closer look.

Stays cool longer

One takes an AMOLED screen with a high 120Hz refresh rate, a powerful Snapdragon 870 processor, a triple 64MP camera, and a large 5000mAh battery with 65W fast charging. What you get then is this Neo2. Part of realme's GT gaming series and therefore ideal for gaming on the go. It keeps its head cool thanks to a large vapour chamber or heat pipe with liquid inside. With a volume of 4129 square millimetres, it provides a temperature reduction of 18°C, allowing you to achieve higher performance for longer.

Digital Urbun Design

The realme GT Neo 2 is available in traditional black, a blue version with a slight gradient, and another striking green version. That neon green version seems to fit the neo serial name perfectly. Realme calls it Digital Urban Design with strikingly bright colour and a matte/glossy finish of black stripes. We must admit that it won't appeal to everyone, but it's an excellent addition for those who want to stand out. Just as colourful is the 6.62-inch display. Realme applies a panel from Samsung: the E4. This bright screen has high colour fidelity and is highly smooth thanks to the 120Hz support.

High quality audio & haptics

On the back of the GT Neo 2, we see three cameras; a 64MP primary camera with a bright f/1.8 lens, ideal for street photography. There is another 8MP camera with a 119° ultra-wide-angle lens for wide shots and a 2MP macro camera. You can shoot extreme close-ups from 4 centimetres up. The selfie camera has a 16MP sensor and is subtly incorporated into a screen corner. The audio has also been thought of. There are dual speakers with Dolby Atmos support for a spatial audio experience. It is a pity that a headphone port for a wired headset is missing. The vibration motor is more powerful, providing an extra dimension during gaming. And if you do not want to be disturbed during gaming, you can switch on GT Mode 2.0. This gives maximum performance and the highest screen display.
