New renders show Samsung Galaxy A27 with hole-punch selfie camera

Leaker @onleaks first published CAD drawings and has now shown the official press renders. While we're remaining cautious, they aline closely with previous reports. New details include the three colours for the upcoming A27 and the placement of the selfie camera.

Samsung is quite late announcing the Galaxy A27. Its predecessor, the A26, was announced in March 2025. It is now May 2026, and there is still no sign of the A27. Except for @onleaks, who shared the renders below today.

Future Galaxy A27 in three colours: blue, pink and black

The Samsung Galaxy A27 is shown in three different colours: pink, black/grey, and blue. The A26 was available in black, white, and light green, though we cannot rule out those colours coming to the A27 later.

Switch from notch to hole-punch camera

Previously published CAD renders already showed that the device is optically almost identical to its predecessor. For example, there are three cameras on the back, and the volume and power buttons appear to be on a raised area. Still, one point differs from the earlier CAD render: the selfie camera is now behind a punch-hole instead of a notch. This looks more modern and hasn't been seen on a Galaxy A2x model before.

Qualcomm chip, no memory card slot

In addition to the selfie camera, changes are expected regarding the processor and memory card slot. Samsung may move away from an Exynos processor and instead opt for a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 from competitor Qualcomm. Additionally, rumours point to the lack of a MicroSD card slot. This trend has been visible in more expensive Galaxy smartphones for some time but is now reaching the entry-level segment as well.
