Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro arrive May 28 with MediaTek chips in three colours

On Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., Xiaomi will announce the 17T series. Images have arrived and the specifications are known, so it's time to take stock. What can we expect, and what features stand out?

Xiaomi's T series consists of competitively priced flagships that typically feature a Dimensity processor. For the Xiaomi 17T, that likely means a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra, and possibly for the 17T Pro as well. Meanwhile, we also have images of both phones. These leaked earlier via WinFuture, but we also found the originals on the internet.

The Xiaomi 17T will be released in Violet, Blue, and Black. Deeper colour tones have been chosen for the 17T Pro. That model will be available in Deep Violet, Deep Blue, and Black.

We have managed to get hold of the energy label for the Xiaomi 17T Pro, which tells us more about the specifications. Summarised:

Repeated free-fall reliability classB
Repairability classC
Ingress protection classIP68
Battery life in charge cycles1000x
Battery life per cycle70 hours and 55 minutes

This earns it an A energy label. We haven't seen an energy label for the 17T yet, but we expect more or less the same figures. We just wouldn't be surprised if the battery life per cycle is lower due to a smaller battery, but don't hold us to it.

We can further report that both the Xiaomi 17T and the 17T Pro will be released with 12+256GB of memory. Other combinations are expected, such as a 12+512GB option. We'll keep an eye out for more specifications appearing between now and May 28 at 15:00. That is when Xiaomi will unveil both models.
