Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Expected August 27
Samsung is hosting a Galaxy Event on Thursday, August 27. The invitation makes it clear which device will be announced: the Galaxy S26 Fan Edition. The Galaxy S26 Fan Edition.
We were in the mood for a party again, so we're happy to mark Thursday, August 27, in our calendars. Samsung announced the Galaxy S26 series on March 6, 2026, and now, nearly six months later, it’s time for an expansion. That can only mean the Galaxy S26 FE.
On the invitation, we see two cups from above with what looks suspiciously like iced matcha, the trendy green tea drink, with star-shaped ice cubes that nod to the Galaxy AI logo. We’ve seen the S26 FE in exactly that same light green colour before.
Galaxy S26 FE Price: Up Again
The suggested retail price for this device is reportedly higher than last year; various sources suggest an increase of €50. This follows the same trend as other Samsung phones this year. The increase is attributed to the sharply risen costs of memory chips. Bitter detail: those more expensive chips largely come from Samsung’s own factories. The extra price you will soon pay thus partly flows back to Samsung itself as profit.
Familiar Specs, New Chip
Other rumours about the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE concern a changed appearance of the camera island. Expect a 50MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and 8MP telephoto camera. Just like last year with the S25 FE. The screen also still measures 6.7 inches, and the battery capacity also remains at 4900 mAh. However, it is said to contain a new processor: the Exynos 2500 chip. On paper, there is little difference from the S25 FE, but we will only know for sure once we have the full picture.
In recent days, we have also seen rumours passing by about the Galaxy Tab S12 and new Galaxy Buds, but Samsung may be saving those for the IFA fair in Berlin. This consumer electronics fair starts on September 4.
