Galaxy S27 renders leaked: design remains familiar
After Android Headlines and @onleaks previously leaked renders of the S27 Ultra, it is now the turn of the entry-level model in the series: the Galaxy S27. With its pill-shaped camera island in the upper-left corner, it immediately looks a lot more traditional. Those hoping the S27 would have a new design will be disappointed.
These are renders published by Android Headlines, showing the Galaxy S27 from all angles. This gives us an excellent view of the device, yet we see nothing new. That is because the design hardly differs from that of the Galaxy S26.
It is clear that Samsung is applying a dual design for the Galaxy S27 series: the S27 Ultra (and the presumed S27 Pro) gets the wide camera island, while the S27 (and possibly the S27+) gets the pill-shaped island. Samsung could, of course, test the design with the public and then give the S28 series the most popular design.
Compact, but not cheaper
Because the dimensions are also virtually identical, we are confident in stating that the S27 will also launch with a 6.3-inch screen, making it a relatively compact flagship. Previously, the rumour circulated that the screen would come from BOE, rather than being manufactured by Samsung itself. There is only one reason why Samsung would do such a thing: cost savings.
Still, do not count on lower prices. Prices already increased with the S26 series, and the S27 series is expected to reach at least the same price level. The reason for those increases has not disappeared: the enormous demand for memory chips for the AI boom.
