Galaxy S27 Pro renders leaked: smaller Ultra
When we first saw these renderings, we thought we had seen them before. So, we initially ignored them. However, they were not actually of the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra, but of a different device: the Galaxy S27 Pro. A more compact Ultra.
That's because the Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro, just like the S27 Ultra, features the new rear camera design. This extends across the entire width and is strongly reminiscent of the iPhone 17 Pro. Aside from that, we would almost forget that the Galaxy S27 Pro is an entirely new device.
Samsung’s future Galaxy S27 series would then consist of the S27, S27+, S27 Ultra, this new S27 Pro, and possibly eventually the S27 FE. It is easy to guess how all these phones will be positioned. The S27 and S27+ appear to be the more affordable entry-level models in two sizes, while the S27 Pro and S27 Ultra are the more expensive high-end flagships, also in two sizes.
Based on the CAD renders, sourced from leaker OnLeaks and also published by Android Headlines, the S27 Pro features a screen of approximately 6.6 inches. The Pro will not be a 1-to-1 copy, just smaller; the renders do not show a slot where you can store your S Pen. That does not necessarily mean the stylus is not supported at all. It does mean, however, that you cannot store it inside the device.
Exynos or Snapdragon?
But there are more uncertainties, such as which processor will power the device. Samsung often applies a dual strategy: some models use an Exynos, others a Snapdragon. Since the S23 series, the Ultra has consistently been equipped with the latter, but whether that also applies to the Pro remains to be seen. Perhaps it does not matter, because some sources believe that the Exynos 2700 outperforms the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 in terms of processing power.
The first rumours about the price are also circulating. According to 9to5Google, the S27 Pro would adopt the current price point of the S26 Ultra—$1,299 in the U.S.—while the S27 Ultra itself would be more expensive. Smaller does not mean cheaper: the Pro seems intended for those looking for a high-end Samsung in a more manageable size, but who are still paying a flagship price for it. European prices have not been mentioned yet.
We also do not have a launch date for the Galaxy S27 Pro yet. But if previous years have taught us anything, we expect an announcement in early 2027, around or prior to the Mobile World Congress. In 2027, that telecom trade show begins on March 1.
