A mobile phone or smartphone does not have to be expensive. That's because phone prices have come down tremendously in recent years partly because of the huge amount of competition. That's good for you because you'll see that directly in your wallet. The models listed here cost a maximum of 125 euros although you can always widen or narrow that with the filter.

Budget today doesn't necessarily mean easy. You can now even get a smartphone with a camera for little money. Now, one budget phone is not the other so be sure to compare specifications and read reviews to separate the wheat from the chaff. Beforehand, it is good to think about what you need the phone for. Are you a first-time smartphone user, do you just want to be reachable or do you just need a second mobile? Keep an eye on the price and select the specifications/features you need.

Budget smartphones

Affordable smartphones certainly exist, even for around 125 euros. A manufacturer has just had to make some concessions, think cheaper materials, simpler specifications and less storage memory. So don't expect an extremely good camera phone for this amount. Most inexpensive smartphones in this price segment run Android; Google's mobile operating system. This allows you to use apps such as YouTube, Instagram and Snapchat. A tip for those in need of an inexpensive smartphone is to pick a mid-range smartphone from last year that has dropped significantly in price. These usually have just slightly more extensive features than models coming out new.

Featurephone or dumbphone

If you just want an old-fashioned, simple, affordable phone without bells and whistles, you can disable 'touchscreen' in the filter. Then you will only see the so-called featurephones and dumbphones. That's a classic mobile phone with a one-week battery life that you can just be reached with. They do not have a touchscreen, but rather a numeric keypad under the screen that you can press. Of these, models are also available with a robust housing, ideal for people working outdoors.
