Midrange is English and stands for the average smartphone. They are not the most extensive models, but certainly not the simplest. In recent years it has become extremely busy in this category, mainly due to competition from Chinese brands. This is good for the consumer, because there is something to choose from. Moreover, the models have become many times better than years ago.

Competition midrange

Manufacturers must pull out all the stops to distinguish themselves in this category. A low price is no longer enough. With the rise of Chinese manufacturers, mid-range smartphones nowadays have to be made of premium materials. And because of the decreasing price of components, they are usually equipped with multiple cameras and thick batteries. There is one drawback to the large offer; not every midrange smartphone is equally good. It's up to us to make a distinction.

Please pay attention to software updates

Where not every manufacturer releases low-end smartphones this does not apply to midrange. Almost everyone has a model or series in their assortment. Always try to choose a new midrange model if possible. They often have the latest techniques, which is always a plus in this category. Moreover, these phones are not supported and equipped with the new software for many years. With Android smartphones in particular, find out what version it comes with and how long updates will be available. For expensive high-end flagships you usually get 2 updates, for midrange you can be happy if it's 1.
