Start exploringThe Nokia 6.2 is a premium mid-range car with a friendly price tag and colourful screen. The 6.2 is a more economical version of the more advanced Nokia 7.2. It has the same large 6.3-inch screen and it also has three rear cameras in common. Yet there are a few things that are different. What exactly is something we explain here.
Just a few similarities, starting with the screen. The Nokia 6.2 has a PureDisplay with HDR support. That's marketing talk for a screen with high colour reproduction. Images look more vividly and photos are sharper. And with a diagonal of 6.3 inches, you have plenty of screen at your disposal. Also the triple camera on the back is what the 6.2 has in common with the 7.2. However, this is not a 48 megapixel but 'only' 16 megapixel. We have to put that into perspective. It is still more than enough for every-day photography. Especially because it is also equipped with a 118° wide-angle lens for ultra-wide shots and a separate depth camera. Enough possibilities for creative snapshots.

HMD Global, the maker of the Nokia 6.2, has equipped it with a reasonably large 3500 mAh battery. In combination with the energy-efficient Snapdragon 636 processor and the necessary artificial intelligence, they think it should last two days on a single charge. For example, the Adaptive Battery function ensures that apps you don't use as much can't unnecessarily drain the battery. This leaves more energy for the apps you do use. And because the Nokia 6.2 uses Android One, there are no unnecessarily installed apps. It's a fairly skinny version of Android without bloatware or other unnecessary apps you can't remove. Being part of the Android One programme also means that it gets monthly security updates and some Android upgrades including to Android 10 when it's ready.
Often we start with it, but now we finish with it; the design. The Nokia 6.2 is made out of two sheets of polished Gorilla Glass, nicely rounded at the edges and held together by a polymer composite, also known as plastic. This makes it lighter than metal phones. The round camera module protrudes a bit but sits in the middle so it doesn't wobble when you put it down. On the side you'll find a special button to call the Google Assistant. This gives you voice commands such as searches or the command to dim your smart lighting. The future is now.
