What should you look out for in an Oppo Find X?
The Find X series is Oppo’s most expensive and best-equipped range. You can expect a large OLED screen, a top-of-the-range processor, a battery capacity well over 7000 mAh and a camera system fine-tuned in collaboration with camera brand Hasselblad. This comes with a flagship price tag: new Find X handsets cost around a thousand euros, and the Ultra model sets you back considerably more. The current prices are listed in the overview above.
Can’t decide between two generations or two models? Compare them side by side in our phone comparison tool. If you’re not yet sure which type of phone you’re looking for, start with our selection guide.
Which generation will you choose?
The latest generation is the Find X9 series: the Find X9 and the larger Find X9 Pro were released in October 2025, whilst the Find X9 Ultra arrived in Europe in May 2026 with a recommended retail price of 1,699 euros. If you want the best value for money, look at the previous generation. As soon as a new Find X is released, the previous models drop significantly in price, whilst you hardly compromise on screen quality, speed or battery life.
Hasselblad camera: what’s the point?
Oppo fine-tunes the cameras in the Find X series in collaboration with Hasselblad, and that partnership is still going strong: the 2026 Find X9 Ultra features a Hasselblad Master Camera System with four lenses. In practice, this is most noticeable in the colour reproduction and in portrait modes that mimic the look of Hasselblad lenses. Don’t expect miracles from the brand name alone, though, as the sensors and image processing do the real work. The series’ strongest point is the zoom: the Find X9 Pro takes photos with a 200-megapixel telephoto lens, whilst many competitors are stuck at 50 megapixels. Feel free to compare a wider range in our overview of camera phones.
Find X or Reno: what’s the difference?
The Find X is Oppo’s flagship model, whilst the Reno is its mid-range model. Both series share the same software and a similar design, but the Find X has a faster processor, a better zoom lens and a brighter screen.
Choose a Find X if you want the best camera and the fastest chip and the price tag isn’t an issue.
Choose a Reno if you’re looking for a slim phone with a great camera at a significantly lower price.
What you’ll be missing out on
A flagship model isn’t automatically the best choice. Bear these points in mind before you order.
- Price: a new Find X can easily cost over a thousand euros. If you’re looking for the same experience for less money, the Reno series is the logical choice.
- Size and weight: the Find X9 Ultra weighs around 235 grams. You’ll really feel that in your pocket. If you want something more manageable, take a look at compact smartphones.
- Updates: Oppo promises five Android versions and six years of security updates for the Find X9 Ultra. That’s decent, but Samsung and Google go further with their top-of-the-range models.
- Availability: not every Find X model is available in the Netherlands. For some generations, only part of the range is released here.
Foldable or refurbished as an alternative
If you’re looking for something other than a classic flagship within the Oppo range, the Find N series is the brand’s foldable range. Anyone wanting a top-of-the-range model without the full price can look to refurbished phones: professionally inspected devices from the previous generation, often hundreds of euros cheaper.
