Xiaomi has three different phone lines; Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO. These are more likely to operate under their own names in the future. So from now on, we may talk about the Remi Note 11 without mentioning Xiaomi. The Redmi series consists of very inexpensive phones with some premium features. In the case of this Note 11, those are a screen with a high refresh rate and fast 30W charging. Xiaomi applies a 6.43-inch AMOLED panel with a bright and colourful display. The screen can also be very bright thanks to its peak brightness of 1000 nits; functional when the sun is shining outdoors.

Average cameras

The Redmi Note 11 sits in a reasonably sleek body of 8.09 millimetres thick. The sides are straight, and the back is plastic. However, it does not feel cheap. There are a total of 3 colour versions, of which, oddly enough, two are blue; Star Blue and Twilight Blue. On the back is a 50MP primary camera with a bright f/1.8 lens. It is far from the only camera, as there is another 8MP ultra-wide angle with a wide 118° angle of view, a 2MP macro camera for extreme close-ups, and a 2MP depth camera. A good set of lenses but, unfortunately, no separate zoom lens. Video is shot in up to FHD (1080p). On the front of the Redmi Note 11, you will find a 13MP selfie camera with an otherwise not very special f/2.4 lens. All in all, an average and not very special camera setup.

Xiaomi applies a Snapdragon 680 chipset. This 6nm-based processor consists of eight cores of up to 2.4GHz. 5G support is missing so 4G is the max speed it can offer. You can choose between 64 or 128 GB of storage memory which is expandable by another 1TB. The battery has a generous capacity of 5000 mAh and that makes for an excellent battery life. Conveniently, the battery can be charged quickly with up to 33W. A full charge will take one hour but short charge sessions will also take you many hours.
