Samsung immediately pauses One 7 update, problems with unlocking reported
Samsung has halted the worldwide rollout of its long-awaited One UI 7 update. This happened after Korean reports came in about problems with unlocking phones. While Samsung investigates the problem, updating phones has been halted for now.
Many users have been looking forward to the rollout of One UI 7 for months. Especially users of a Galaxy S24 who were the first to receive it. Some have now received the update and are not affected by anything, others will still have to be patient for a little longer.

According to reports, it is mostly users from South Korea who could no longer unlock their device in the normal way after the update to One UI 7. Samsung has not officially responded yet but users are reporting that the new firmware is no longer online. This is a clear signal that Samsung has paused the rollout.
Months of testing
How long it will take, and when Samsung will resume the rollout of One UI 7 is still unclear. That another problem is popping up at this stage of the rollout is remarkable, Samsung spent months on the update and rolled out several beta versions. All with the goal of ensuring a flawless rollout of One UI 7.
It is hoped that Samsung will meet its update schedule communicated earlier. Thus, in April, the Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, S24 Ultra are yet to be released, Fold 6, Flip 6, Fold SE, Fold 5, Flip 5, Tab S10 Plus, Tab S10 Ultra, S23, S23 Plus, S23 Ultra and S24 Fan Edition will receive the update to One UI 7. Other devices will then follow in May and June.
