The Motorola Moto G52 seems the ideal choice for those who want a large smooth OLED screen, a triple camera with 50MP, and stereo speakers. But is that the case or are there better options for this amount of money? We will check it out for you here.
Those who want a somewhat affordable smartphone usually get an LCD screen, while OLED is more beautiful. What do we mean by that? The image of a screen is composed of many tiny pixels. In the case of an LCD panel, these do not emit light of their own accord. You need backlighting to get an image. The result is a somewhat washed-out image, pale even, with little contrast. So black is never really black. OLED does not have this problem. There, the pixels emit light, and the backlight is not needed. The result is deeper blacks and livelier colors. On the G52, you will find an OLED screen, no less than 6.6 inches in size, with a high 90Hz refresh rate for smooth viewing.
On the screen of the Moto G52, for example, you show photos shot with the 50MP main rear camera. Equipped with Quad Pixel technology, this camera shoots great exposed images both day and night. If you want to capture more in one image, switch to the 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera. You can get closer with the 2MP macro camera, although it does not produce very sharp results due to its low resolution. Zooming is only possible digitally, as there is no optical zoom. The G52 can shoot video at a maximum of 1080p, also known as Full HD. The selfie camera at the front is subtly integrated into the screen and is equipped with a large 16MP sensor—more than enough for razor-sharp self-portraits.
This Moto G52 features a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor. With this, expect matching performance as well. There is 4GB of RAM, which is now a bit on the low side. The storage memory comes out to 128GB and is expandable up to 1TB via a microSD memory card. The battery is 5000mAh and can be quickly charged with 30W. But only wired because it cannot charge wirelessly. Lenovo has finished the whole thing in a water-repellent coating. This makes the G52 IP52 water and dust-resistant. Complete immersion is impossible, but an occasional splash is no problem.
